Everything you need to know about finding and booking local classes, or teaching in your community
For Learners
How do I find classes near me?
Download the HobbiHopp app from the App Store or Google Play. Once you create an account, you can browse local classes on a map or in a list view. Filter by category, date, distance, and price to find the perfect class in your neighborhood.
How does booking work?
When you find a class you like, tap to see the details, select your preferred session time, choose how many spots you need, and confirm your booking. You'll pay with credits, and both you and the host will be notified instantly.
What are credits and how do they work?
Credits are our flexible payment system. Purchase credits one-time or via subscription, then use them to book any class, anytime. Subscriptions include monthly credit allowances with rollover, so unused credits don't go to waste.
Can I book for friends or family?
Yes! When booking a class, you can select your party size to book multiple spots. This is perfect for bringing friends to a pottery class or signing up with family members for a cooking workshop.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel your booking through the app. Cancellation policies vary by host, but most allow full refunds if cancelled with adequate notice. Check the specific class details for the host's cancellation policy.
Can I message hosts before booking?
Yes! You can message local instructors directly through the app to ask questions about the class, skill level requirements, what to bring, or any other details before you book.
How do reviews work?
After attending a class, you'll receive a prompt to rate your experience. Your reviews help other neighbors discover great local instructors and help hosts improve their classes.
What types of classes are available?
You'll find all kinds of local hobby classes — pottery, cooking, painting, photography, dance, music, crafts, fitness, and more. The selection depends on what instructors in your area are offering, so it's always growing!
